2017 is Canada’s 150th anniversary, but is also a year of reconciliation. In recognition of the Final Report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, Terrace Public Library has curated a list of excellent titles to raise awareness, stimulate discussion, and facilitate a culture of learning. This is also a great opportunity to highlight the work of Indigenous authors! You can find the list here.
Starting Monday July 31st 2017 the Library front steps will go through periods of being accessible and not accessible while the city works on building a cover/awning over the front steps. This will take approximately 2-3 weeks to complete. This will not affect the Library or Art Gallery’s usual hours of operation. During this period the building can still be accessed by the front door. At points in time you may have to get to the front door from the driveway pathway on the west side or the pathway on the east side at Kalum. Thank you for your understanding and patience as this construction will help to keep the front steps clear of snow and ice buildup in the winter and of course some of the rain off our heads :0)
Zinio (eMagazines) and OneClickDigital (eAudiobooks and eBooks) are now in a combined app called RBdigital (which will make using former Zinio and OneClickDigital easier to use). These apps can be found here: Apple, Android, and Kindle. If you would like a run down on how the app works you can sign up for a free webinar here.
