2017 is Canada’s 150th anniversary, but is also a year of reconciliation. In recognition of the Final Report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, Terrace Public Library has curated a list of excellent titles to raise awareness, stimulate discussion, and facilitate a culture of learning. This is also a great opportunity to highlight the work of Indigenous authors! You can find the list here.

Catalogue outage due to upgrade on Sunday May 20th

Please be aware that the catalogue will be unavailable from 9:00 PM on Saturday, May 19, to 5:00 AM on Tuesday, May 22.

This includes access to patron accounts for things such as paying fines, altering account details, etc. Patrons will still be able to return and check out books at the front counter on Sunday, but the self-check machine will be offline until Tuesday morning.

Library of Things

During Library Month, we launched our new collection: The Library of Things. This collection features board games, outdoor equipment, musical instruments and science kits, just to name a few. (Check out the list below.) Most of our Library of Things items are available to borrow for up to 14 days. We would like to have these items available to as many of our patrons as possible, so renewals are not available at this time.
