Back to the well by Marq de Villiers

De Villiers's clear-eyed analysis assesses the state of water on Earth today and looks at the ways its use and abuse encompasses intersections between our daily personal water use, agriculture, energy policy, climate change, national security, and global conflicts. De Villiers urges us to cut through the hype to see not a global crisis, but myriad local and regional problems that can be solved in different ways through local actions. Finally Something Good on TV

“Finally something good on TV” is what a youngster at the library said, during a class visit, when he saw himself in our new monitor which displays the video feed from the camera at the entrance of the library. The library recently had a new security system installed in order to ensure the safety of our community members while they visit the library.

As well, we have installed new public access computers. The old ones were costly to maintain and were not serving our community’s needs. We are now back up to our capacity of 10 computer stations. Come by and take one for a spin!
