The health and safety of our staff and customers remain our top priority. We continue to adapt our services throughout COVID-19 following provincial and WorksafeBC guidelines.

We are excited to open our doors and welcome you back in the library!

Important points:

Health and Safety

Reduced Occupancy:

At this time, we are able to have 20 patrons in the library at one time. This means you may need to wait to enter the library.

Due to space restrictions, we have limited the number of families allowed in the children’s area at one time. The children's area has been divided into three separate sections, allowing for three families to visit at once.

Due to reduced occupancy there will be no study spaces, meeting rooms or public seating available.

Enhanced Safety Measures:

You will see signage, physical distancing markers and lineups throughout the library. We ask that you follow all directions from staff and maintain a physical distance of 2 meters (6 feet).

Our circulation desk has Plexiglas barriers to keep staff and patrons safe. Staff will be wearing non-medical face masks when physical distancing cannot be maintained.

We have increased our cleaning of high touch surfaces. Public Access Computers, Self-Check machine, Online-catalogue, photocopier and circulation desk will all have increased cleaning.

What you can do to help us:

Services

At this time the following services are not available:

We will make the accessible washroom available to small children and seniors if it's necessary.

Computer Access by Appointment

There are four computers available. You can call us in advance and we'll make sure you can use a computer station at that time. Do you need to look at documents? Print? You may use the computer (and internet) for 30 minutes to do your work. We also allow drop-in to use the computers (but only if they're not booked by others).

If someone is coming with you to provide assistance, your group needs to stay together at the station at all times.

Need more time? Let us know if you're taking a test or filling out government forms when you set the appointment, and we'll sort out the details. You'll need to bring your own headphones!
